Some time ago, there was something on the "Hey Answerman" part of the well-known website Anime News Network. It was in it's "Hey Answerfans" segment that had fans name the most annoying anime character. One of them mentioned Meg,a character in "Burst Angel,"a series that you're currently viewing. It seems that what annoyed this particular fan was that he or she thought that she was useless. All that happened to her, according to this fan,was that she got kidnapped all the time and that seem to tick him or her off a lot.
If it were me,I'd have put her in the category of anime characters who I feel sorry for. From what little I do know about Meg,she seems like a pretty nice person. And I hope I may be forgiven for this, she's not bad looking, either. She seems like a person any guy with a functioning brain would like to take out on a date. Although, her strange ability to get kidnapped every few minutes would be a problem.

Imagine, you're taking Meg home after a terrific date, only to have some bad guys run up,beat you up,and then just abduct her for no good reason. You eventually get her back but then you ask her "Does this happen often?" She replies back "Yeah, pretty much." She reminds me of the heroines of the old silent films who got themselves into life-threatening perils every five minutes or so. Those heroines and the situations they got themselves into were parodied in the late 1960's in the old Hanna-Barbera cartoon "The Perils of Penelope Pitstop." That series may have inspired the creation of Meg in this series. So,what do you think?
